Harry O'Brien

Harry

Harry was just 28 years old, happily married and doing things he loved; life was good.
Singing as he drove from his meeting on that October day, Harry stopped to help a man
in distress with an ailing car. Little did he know that one act of kindness would so alter his
life that he would never recognize it again as it had been. His story will grab your heart,
touching deep into your soul, as he travels on his journey.

On December 31, 1998, Harry’s mother had a massive heart attack and left this planet. His dad lives near him in Georgia, as do his two brothers. They visit each other often.

Harry told me it is his greatest desire to help others, to be an example of determination and fortitude to get through whatever comes your way and be an inspiration to individuals who need this encouragement. He went on to say that there is tremendous power within us to prevail no matter what is going on around us. There’s a bigger picture than what we can physically see. Harry said he’s been called to be an example for others to follow.

In support of his sobriety, celebrating 32 years in 2007, Harry supports others as a sponsor while they seek to remove the obstacle of alcohol from their life. Helping others through their healing process has given him great joy. One of Harry’s dreams is to attract his soulmate, someone who can open her heart to love, be his friend, companion, supporter, and return the love he gives.

Harry came away from his accident on that day with some amazing realizations. He realized there is something greater out there, something observing his life and yours. He was aware that something is watching; it’s silent, and he was able to see birth rather than death. So, his life is about discovering more awareness of that presence that was shown to him on that day. Even now, he often feels as if he’s the Observer of his own actions, feeling he isn’t real, even though he knows he is. His spirit is soaring higher and higher into greater awareness of who he really is!
