Never feeling good about herself, Kate sought illusion to cover up her pain. The illusion she grabbed was cocaine and heroin. Years followed years and the pain continued. So did the drugs until one day, the light was turned on and Kate saw what life could be if she made a different choice. And there were her kids.

Kate lives with her children and has a beautiful life now. She’s been clean for five years and has chosen to remain completely clean. She feels her children deserve to be loved and cared for by her and she is committed to that.

One of her most favorite times is when an individual comes to her with pain and hurt in their eyes, but after working with her they understand things differently, and their eyes glow and sparkle because she could help them. She says it is such a wonderful feeling, true ecstasy.

Kate and her mom have established a wonderful relationship. Her mom has come a long way over the years. Without a doubt, Kate’s parents have been there for her through everything in the best way they could. For their support during her trying times, she is grateful.
